My writing story began...

...a lot darker. I didn't start out writing faith-filled romance. I used to write dark mafia romance.

At the time, I thought I was exploring the darker parts of human nature—the brokenness, the darkness, the things we carry inside ourselves. My stories leaned into the idea that perhaps those darker parts could simply be accepted, embraced, and loved.

Then God stepped into my life.

And slowly, He began showing me that this wasn't the life He intended for any of us.

Jesus didn't come so that we could learn to make peace with our brokenness. He came to save us from it—to give us life, and life in abundance.

So I pulled my books.

I unpublished them, stepped away from writing, and waited.

I prayed. And I waited some more.

I didn't know what my writing would look like on the other side of that season. I only knew I couldn't keep writing the way I had before.

And eventually, the stories started coming again.

Only this time, they pointed somewhere different.

To the Light.

Today, I write faith-filled romance about people who are still messy. People who wrestle with God. People who struggle with sin, shame, fear, grief, anger, forgiveness, and the consequences of their choices.

Because life isn't cookie-cutter.

Faith doesn't mean our characters—or any of us—stop struggling. It means we don't have to struggle without hope.

So my stories aren't about perfect people living perfect Christian lives. They're about broken people discovering that brokenness doesn't have to be the end of the story.

There is grace, forgiveness and redemption.

And there is always hope.

Because Jesus came to give us more than a life spent settling for the broken pieces.

He came to give us life.

And that is where my stories point now.

Back to the One who matters.

Where I write my stories...

All of my stories are written from a little farm in South Africa. We're surrounded by open land, thorn trees, enormous skies, and warm weather for most of the year.

The photographs throughout this website are from here. This is where I write, pray, think, and sometimes stare out the window when a scene refuses to cooperate.

There is something about living surrounded by so much space and so much sky that makes it hard to forget how small we are—and how big God is.

So when you see the sunsets, the storms, the flowers, and the wide-open fields throughout this site, you're seeing a little piece of the place where these stories come to life.
